Warrenton is a small town in Fauquier County, Virginia. The population was 9,611 at the 2010 census and is expected to reach 10,027 by the end of 2019. This community is located at the intersection of U.S. Routes 15 and 17, 29 and 211. It is an ideal location for a vacation getaway or a business trip.

The town's history is represented in its architecture. The town's Old Jail is a brick and stone building that dates back to 1808. This building is now a museum and home to the Fauquier Historical Society. Originally, it was home to four cells. The jailer lived in the front part of the building. The museum also has Indian artifacts. The rear portion of the building contains the cells and exercise yard that were used by prisoners.
