NRA National Firearms Museum

The NRA National Firearms Museum is an institution dedicated to firearms, ammunition and history. It is located at 11250 Waples Mill Rd, Fairfax, VA 22030. Visitors can see collections of antique guns, artillery pieces, daggers, swords and even some modern firearms. The museum is divided into several galleries that give visitors a glimpse of the types of weapons that have been used throughout history. The NRA National Firearms Museum is located in Fairfax, Virginia. The museum can be found inside the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s headquarters at 11251 TradePlace Drive in Fairfax. Visiting the museum requires a separate admission fee; however, free access is available on Friday afternoons from 3 p.m.-5 p.m. during the summer months when they host special events and programs at their indoor facility as well as outdoor activities such as rifle shooting competitions and firearm demonstrations throughout the year. How to Visit the NRA National Firearms Museum

Visitors can find the museum by entering the NSSF headquarters and reaching the right floor. On the left, visitors will see a sign pointing to the firearms museum. Visitors must be 16 years of age to enter the museum and must have a valid photo ID to enter. The museum is open Tuesday - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Visitors can also visit the museum’s website for a virtual tour of the facility and all of the museum’s galleries.

The NRA National Firearms Museum is home to many historical firearms and artifacts, but only a few of these galleries are worth visiting. If you’re short on time, you can skip the rest and still get a good overview of the collection. The Military Gallery This gallery contains a collection of American military firearms from the Revolutionary War to the present day. Military firearms from the American Civil War, American Indian Wars and the Spanish-American War are all part of this collection. Visitors can see a selection of handguns and rifles from the World Wars, Korean War and Vietnam War, as well as a collection of military aircraft from the American Revolution to the present day. - The Wild West Gallery - This gallery features a wide range of weapons used by lawmen and outlaws in the Wild West. Visitors can see a selection of handguns, rifles and shotguns that were used by various law enforcement agencies as well as outlaw gangs throughout the late 19th and early 20th centuries. - The African Gallery - This gallery is dedicated to the weapons and tools used by African tribes in the Americas, the Caribbean and Africa. Visitors can see a range of weapons used by natives in North and South America, as well as weapons used in the Caribbean. - The Asian Gallery - This collection of Asian weapons dates back to ancient times and includes a collection of samurai swords, Chinese jian, katanas and other edged weapons from Asian cultures. - The U.S. Military Gallery - This gallery features a wide range of firearms used by U.S. military personnel, from the Revolutionary War to the present day. Visitors can see an assortment of handguns, rifles and Gatling guns that were used by U.S. troops during various wars and conflicts. Next article
